Five Sentence Post 1

I woke up with a migraine, and nausea soon followed. I took a pain reliever, and waited for it to kick in. Had some soup and broth, once the nausea faded. Now, I’m blogging, because a day isnt a day without a post. Who knew misery could fulfill subject content criteria.

Happy creative endeavors.

I’m stressed and pressed for time, migraine to contend with, and lovely side effects. It’s a constant, aching pressure, that is hell bent on staying with me, in spite of meds to combat it.

I will wait it out, keep it.moving, write a few sentences down. One word at a time is king in my world.

Happy creative endeavors.

Fountain of Creativity

The migraine must have heralded a fount of creativity, as I found myself writing a lot more in my notebook.  Some of it was for the novel, and some were ideas that were chilling in my head.

I then typed them when I had the chance, just to give the concepts more of a visual presence outside of my notebook, and a little more organized.  I need to keep working on them.

The ideas have a sort of cohesive, related theme, which is probably why they seems so clear to me yesterday.   One of my teachers once said, we write the same story over and over. Don’t know how true that is, but I do visit a lot of the same themes.

Some older ideas popped up as well, which meant they needed to be written down.  Once story I had so many questions, I typed them out, and hope to answer those quuestions soon.

The novel keeps taking these turns. Wrote down a possible rewrite by hand, and after thinking on it overnight, I realized I missed something, and will add that to the story soon.  Need to go back to the outline and add this as well.

Some of the dialogue I wrote out needs revisions, as I’ve thought of some new lines, and others I need to scrap.  It will work itself out.  I am happiest when I’m creative. so I love those aspects.  Gotta keep being creative.

As always, happy creative endeavors.

Today is neck pain and migraine day. This means a little stress into my day has fallen, and it’s up to me to steer myself to a path of goodness. Writing went on chill this weekend until late last night when came up with an opening line for the first chapter with the hero.

Failed to write the intro down, promptly forgot, and woke up this morning in addition to discomfort with the intro waiting on me.  It’s not getting away again.

On last Friday, I worked on the outline and wrote out some dialog for some scenes, so it wasn’t like I wasted my creativity–at least that’s what i told myself–I could and should have done more.

Back to the present: So now I may have a shot at typing out a few lines for the novel. I gotta go get that done.  Also have random ideas for another story–but will put that to the side. Will write it down too.

As always, happy creative endeavors.

Lovely Migraine

Today I have a lovely migraine, and neck pain. I need to take something for this pain (just did). In the the meantime, I owe myself a blog post.

Yesterday I wrote, and finished off act II. I set a goal of fifteen pages, but ended up with fourteen. The way I see it, the act has a little wiggle room for adjustments, and not too tightly wound. That, or I can make a quick scene to wet someone’s appetite, but the content is for premium cable where there are not commercials.

Yesterday was also full of distractions, and I got so frustrated that work couldn’t be done. First my screenwriter software crashed. I only lost a half page of dialogue, but it pissed me off. Software restarted just fine, so nothing was corrupted. Next came dealing with family, and interactions. After the crash, and the bombardment, thinking went south, so I stopped writing for the day.

Today is migraine land, and in a moment I’m sure I won’t want to look at this darn screen. I’m rather annoyed with this. This extra strength stuff is taking some time to be effective. Gonna get some water, and relax.

As always, happy creative endeavors.
