Inspired to Write

After writing some concepts out, and discussing one of them with friends, the tide changed on the flow of fiction writing. Yesterday I was convinced that writing anything was not an option. I felt like I didn’t have anything to say/how to start the story. I put my faith in relaxing, and making the rest of my day stress free, and enjoying the moment. I didn’t play video games, because I was positive I needed a break from gaming. Don’t get me wrong, I love my fun, but I had a chill vibe.

I sat on the couch, and played on the internet and decided to stop that in favor of opening my Notes app to write a few lines.  I put on my Forbidden Planet DVD (love this film – gotta write an essay on it soon), and I typed more and more. I was sure it was going to be simple, and easy writing. You know, a few paragraphs to start a story. When I imported the text to Word and formatted it (double-spaced, in Times New Roman font), I had six pages! it was time to go to bed, but going to bed happy!

While in bed then I opened the Notes app, and wrote some more. I’ve yet to import the text, and will write a few more paragraphs soon. I got a good feeling about completing the first draft of this story soon. I love a first draft. it represents the beginning of something good. Revisions will come after a cooling down, but that’s getting ahead of myself. I want to get that first draft done. For sure I want to get back to the writing, but I thought a blog post for Monday was in order.

As always, happy creative endeavors.
